Novo Nordisk

Context
The nature of the work
My work with Novo Nordisk spans CX strategy, research, information architecture, interaction design and ongoing platform development. I work closely with the client and cross-functional teams on both longer-term experience initiatives and continuous sprint-based improvements.
Context
Novo Nordisk's HCP portals and connected websites serve healthcare professionals across more than 50 markets. My role involves identifying opportunities to improve the experience, designing user journeys and reusable platform solutions, and supporting their implementation. I collaborate with client stakeholders, business analysts, project managers, designers, developers and QA throughout the process.

Strategy
Shaping future platform priorities
Beyond day-to-day design work, I contribute to longer-term CX planning by exploring opportunities to improve the platform and create more value for healthcare professionals and the business. This involves helping define focus areas, assess priorities and connect experience initiatives with future development.

Exploring future experience opportunities
One example is my work exploring a future My Profile experience. Rather than starting with a predefined set of features, I investigated how a profile could evolve from basic account management into a more personalised hub, supporting learning, progress and access to relevant tools and content.

Research
Evaluating experiences across markets
Research and evaluation help inform my work on the platform. I review user journeys across local markets to identify usability issues, inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement. I also analyse competitor experiences to understand different approaches to navigation, content and interaction design.

Learning from the wider HCP landscape
Competitor analysis helps me explore how other healthcare platforms solve similar challenges and identify relevant patterns and ideas that could inform our own design decisions.

UX Design
Designing for clarity and scale
My design work covers information architecture, interaction design and reusable platform components. I focus on simplifying complex experiences while ensuring solutions work across different devices, markets and content needs.
Simplifying complex information structures
One example involved restructuring a content-heavy experience spread across a long main page and several subpages. I reorganised the information around user needs, creating a clearer structure with fewer navigation levels and easier access to relevant content.

Designing for reuse and scale
In the ongoing sprint-based work, I work closely with UI to design reusable components and interaction patterns that can work across different markets and content scenarios. This involves considering responsive behaviour, accessibility, editor needs and CMS flexibility to create solutions that are both consistent and adaptable.

Delivery
Moving UX from exploration into implementation
My involvement continues beyond the design phase. I work closely with business analysts, project managers and developers to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria and resolve implementation questions. I also support development handovers, design reviews and QA throughout the sprint process, helping ensure that the intended experience is carried through into the final implementation.
